412 Food Rescue

I love to volunteer and one of my favorite places to volunteer with is 412 Food Rescue. This organization is located in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh and has been in operation since 2015. 412 Food Rescue is tackling one of America's toughest social problems (Food Insecurity) with an outside the box approach. They work to rescue and distribute food surplus to those in need. Partnering with grocery stores, food warehouses, restaurants and catering companies through an intricate system to quickly connect surplus to individuals and organizations that can put the food to use quickly. Volunteers are always welcome! Take your family! Take your friends! Consider volunteering, I promise it will be a very rewarding experience.
